The Wanted have landed their own Channel 4 and 4Music series which will follow them as they attempt to crack america.
The hit boyband have already signed a huge management deal in the States, which has seen them be snapped up by the same people behind Justin Bieber. They've also recorded a duet with "a huge female superstar"
over there, which will be part of a repackaged Battleground album to be released in the US as well
as here.
Speaking about their plans, Tom told the Daily Star “Glad You Came has just been added to the
playlist on Kiss FM in LA, so that’s about 40 adds in America now. It’s growing really fast for us.
“We’re speaking to a really big management so once that deal is done and we get a few more
radio adds I think it’s going to really take off. We have the boyband hype side of it but at the same
time it’s about hearing our songs and getting them in your head. We’re prepared to do the whole
touring thing in America. Our fans at home know, because we do the online stuff so religiously, every week we email and are on Twitter, it’s not like we’re going to disappear like some acts do.”
Regarding the Channel 4 show, Nathan added “It’s going to be all the stuff leading up to the tour so we’re gonna be proper mardy bastards, panicking like hell about the tour, going to America before that, then we have three days’ rehearsal before we start our UK arena tour.”
