Britain's Got Talent Winner to win space trip

Simon Cowell wants to offer this year's Britain's Got Talent winner a prize which is out of this world - a flight on Richard Branson's multi-million pound Space mission.

The BGT boss told The Sun he is in negotiations with Virgin's boss to make the prize happen. He says "Richard Branson is the sponsor of the show with Virgin. We are trying to work out a way so that the winner of the show gets to go up in the spacecraft and will be the first person to perform in space".

"I'm being serious. You could be the first singer or dog act, whatever, performing in space"

"What does the winner of The Voice get? This is worth tens of millions of pounds, but Richard genuinely is up for doing it. I'm not winding you up, Richard would pay for it".

In the interview, Cowell adds that he was "too cocky" last year, but plans to put Britain's Got Talent and X Factor back on top in 2012.
